More like the right size actually. I wanted a desktop cover that doubles as a mouse pad. This one is perfect, albeit a bit pricey. Again, these are branded items, which are always associated with a surcharge. I live near the equator so our seasons are pretty "hot" and "hotter". The sweat on my hands expanded and ruined the stitching on my desk. Putting on a towel as a forearm brace worked, but it was a little sticky. This giant mouse pad makes it possible. It covers the entire area where I could use the mouse. It stays in place, won't slip anywhere, and is sweatproof. It also looks a lot better than a folded towel.
