UPDATE. We've been using them for over a year and are still very satisfied. I will say that the springs are rusted on the inside, so there seems to be condensation forming in them somehow, but I've never seen water in them. For the price I think they are really high quality. I've tried many others as well and I have several homes that are considered the best, but I still like ViaAqua better. You won't find comparable or better quality at this price point, but don't expect perfection. FIRST RATING: I have 3 of these and they were great! There is a malfunction, less chance of killing your tank before you realize it. I have 2 in my large tank and 1 in my smaller one and they all work as they should. I found them to measure temperature very accurately and turn on and off as they should. I've had them for about 5 months now.
