So far so good, followed YouTubers advice, planted 5 gallons

that's planted for my 5 gallon. So far it seems to be working fine. No leaking capsule, no overheating or temperature fluctuations. I only set it at 79F and it kept the water at 80F. My room is about 67F so it heats up just fine. As a tip, let the heater sit at room temperature for a while, then install the heater in the tank and let it adjust to the water temperature for an hour before plugging it in. This reduces the likelihood of cracks and condensation. The lid, which you can find here on…

Still loving it after a year!

UPDATE. We've been using them for over a year and are still very satisfied. I will say that the springs are rusted on the inside, so there seems to be condensation forming in them somehow, but I've never seen water in them. For the price I think they are really high quality. I always unplugged my heater before changing the water and I never hit it on anything etc. It's a cheap price for a heater, but I settled on the Aqueon Pro, which is about twice the price ($30 at Revain). ). Because of the solid build quality, I'll be using the newer Aqueon Pro to see if it lasts longer than the ViaAqua heaters. I tried…

DO NOT BUY - SUCTORS ARE TOXIC TO FISH

Bought this heater about 6 months ago based on reading a good review of efficient aquarium heaters. When the package arrived the glass was cracked. When opening the box the glass fell everywhere and had to ask for a new one. The next came whole, but the temperature control was very weak. I had to set the heater at 82 degrees Fahrenheit to keep the water at 76 degrees Fahrenheit. I have a 3.5 gallon aquarium for my female cock. There were other things about him that I didn't really like, but I…
