Absolute rubbish for electronics

I have used many of these timers on my Christmas lights over the years and have never had a problem. Tune in to From Dusk Till Dawn and forget it. This timer has his own mind. I feel like I'm in Ghost in the Machine. It turns on when you want and off when you want. Sometimes at 1 a.m., sometimes at 10 p.m., sometimes an hour after switching on. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. And the remote just doesn't work until I literally press it directly against the device. Perhaps mine is defective and not typical of this topic as a whole. But whatever, it's rubbish and I'll buy another brand.
