We have this plugged into our lamp in the bedroom. It is so nice to not have to get up or move at all to turn the lamp on and off. Highly recommend this product

I really like it but it is stubborn. Sometimes you have to clap two or three times for it to "work". Other times it is just fine on the first clap.

It works but…Sometimes you have to repeat the clapping two or three times if it’s not done just so. However it beats getting up and out of bed.

This arrived without a box, just a plug. Using this as a gag gift, it's not nearly as funny if you have examine why you're getting a plug. How is it programed? Without a box or instructions to follow, who knows!

I was tired of getting out of bed to turn off the lamp on my dresser. The Clapper was very easy to install--just set it to 2 claps and plug it in the wall outlet. Because it can be set to 2 or 3 claps, the rhythm must be correct or it doesn't operate. There's 3 red lights on the front and I can see whether it registers as 2 consecutive claps OR 1 clap, empty space, 1 clap. I didn't realize they don't have the "ground hole" or the 3rd hole for the connectors that have that 3rd pin. I happened to need the two outlets for devices that have that type of connector and having to buy the adapter on top of the almost $30 that this thing costs., it's just too much. This device should be worth about $10. I had to send it back, unfortunately!

The product is described TWICE as "made in the USA". First, in the short description and again in the features and benefits. Deep in the product page is a details section where it is disclosed as made in china. .Of COURSE it is made in china.as stated on the box.revain, make the country of origin a searchable parameter for filtering your crappy search results!

Really does work as advertised, even if you are not the one making the clap on/clap off noise :-) (my upstairs neighbor can accidentally turn it on or off by dropping something on the floor and it bounces).

We have this for a bedside lamp. With adjustable bed this works great. Need to have it in an open area or it does not work as well.

My five year old granddaughter loved it to operate her pink led trees that had no on off switch. It worked great until her brother plugged the vacuum into the clapped and blew it. Since he didn't use the closest outlet I can only summize he was going to see if the clapped would turn on the vacuum . no it will not.

Often, random noises like the dog scratching would activate (expected), but you have to clap loudly and sometimes repeatedly to activate on purpose (annoying).

I bought this for my 87 year old grandmother. She has a reading light that she use to use Alexa to turn it on. She got rid of the internet because $135 to turn on a light a month was silly. So I got her the Clapper. It worked great for me but my grandmother’s clap was not loud enough to register. Probably not the clappers fault but if you don’t have a strong clap I don’t recommend. If you do it works awesome and is easy to install.

Didn’t like having to reach up to turn off my bed table lamp, so I bought this to try. Its terrible at recognizing claps, but great at recognizing knocks. So I just knock on my nightstand and it works every time.

This is our second clapper. The first we moved to a different location. No issues with this one but the older one you have to be up close to it for it to acknowledge the claps. So I think I’ll be buying a 3rd to replace the first which btw we’ve had for years and we have it placed outside to turn on tea lights around the decking (plus is just in an out of the way sept and the clapper works). So it’s really done it’s job.

My mom couldn't find her lamp in the dark so reaching with her hand usually ended up knocking it over. She is so happy to just clap and the lamp comes on. Surprised they still made the clapper and so happy I was able to find a solution for my mom.

These things are ok when they work. But they often do not work. They will turn on when you set a cup down or close a drawer. You can change the sensitivity but it makes no difference. Do not put this in your bedroom. It will turn on at random times if you snore or turn over too loudly.

I got this for my son who is immobile so he could turn his light on whenever he needs or wants to without having to wait for someone else to come do it for him. I had the clapper with two outlets and really liked it a lot. But. My other son plugged the vacuum cleaner into it and that was the end of that clapper.
