Works well on 2004 Mazda6 with L716 Head Unit Mod

I have a 2004 Mazda6. The car didn't come with a factory aux connection so I added a previous CD changer connection lead to the adapter back in 2012. I wanted to upgrade to Bluetooth so I bought this one. It works and you can use the steering wheel and radio buttons to change lanes, which you can't do with the line jack. I did not use the line in on this adapter and its mic. I only use this for music. Update: After two months of use I'm reducing my rating from 5 stars to 3 due to the difficulty of switching from one Bluetooth device to another. I usually have to cycle the adapter on and off, turn the car off and on several times before it connects reliably. No problem if you use the same device every time. Installation is a little tricky as you have to rip apart the console to remove the radio and plug in the connector at the back. Look for instructions online as the parts need to be removed in a specific order. For a Mazda 6 made circa 2004 you will need to solder two points on the L716 on the head unit internal circuit board or the CD changer adapters will not work. See image. I had already done this for a previous adapter so this one worked, although initially it took a few tries to get it working.
