Review on PANASONIC Link2Cell Bluetooth Answering KX TGM430B by Dwayne Pore

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great phone for anyone who needs glasses

II I have Bought a Panasonic KX-TGM430B because I was waiting for a phone with big buttons and a display I can see without glasses. I also wanted all phones to have a MIL (message indicator) so I could easily see if there were any messages from anywhere in the house. This phone is exactly what I was looking for as it has these features. The message display is big, bright, but almost impossible to miss, which is good. The phones are full-sized and comfortable, but the volume buttons on the side could have been placed better than the usual grip spot. Fingers often touch them just holding the phone. The sound quality in the handset is normal. It's not as clear as it should be. The tone controls work, but none of the available tones make the incoming voice sound as clear as I had hoped. That's quite enough for a normal conversation, but I expected a little more from a phone in this price range. A major disadvantage is the cost. That's very expensive. Buying 5 more phones makes it much more expensive. In addition, the base is limited to 6 handsets. I would wish it accepted more or had a base with its own keypad and display to not use up the handset. I am using this phone through the OOMA body and it works flawlessly as expected. The MIL indicator flashes when messages are waiting on the basic answering machine or OOMA voicemail, which is really nice. I haven't tried Link2cell yet.

Pros
  • Hear and be heard loud and clear with Volume Boost to boost the caller's voice by up to 40dB, six voice tone settings and a loud ringer base
Cons
  • Not bad but...
