I bought this chair "used - like new" for about half the full price. The messy packaging showed it had been used, but I expected that. The plastic cylinders covering the hydraulic height adjustment were also slightly damaged. I was ready for something like this again. The chair was assembled in less than half an hour. Now I understand why some reviewers complained about the bolts sticking out of the seat. There are three screw lengths that are very similar to each other. If you get the wrong length in the wrong hole. . . Well you can guess what's going on. The main reason I bought the chair (besides the cost) was the supposed lumbar support. In less than three days, my lower back pain was gone! Easy replacement for cracked cylinders. Also, I'm still working on reclining, but even if I don't end up being able to recline as far as I want, I'll be able to endure it. to operate the backrest mechanism. It's amazing what reading the adjustment knob can do. Just pull the handle out about 1/2 inch and voila.
