I thought this unit was great. I use a non-genuine BOSS Audio Wired CarPlay (BE10ACP) hearing aid and it does exactly what I expect it to do. Like connecting a phone, connect the adapter to CarPlay USB and the pairing window will open. I like this extra screen because you set it up to automatically connect or select a device. I am happy to choose the device as I am not the only one driving the vehicle and sometimes we are both in the car at the same time. I definitely wasn't expecting the extra interface, but I'm not disappointed at all. Latency is very similar to aftermarket heads and aftermarket wireless heads, about 1.5 to 3 seconds maximum. The sound quality shows hardly any differences, sometimes none at all. The main unit itself isn't the most stylish, but its quality is decent compared to some alternatives. Another great thing is that you can still keep your wired connection when you need to charge your device or when you don't want the audio to be out of sync (e.g. when you're watching a video while parked). There are no buttons or switches on the device, just plug and play and a simple pairing screen, then you're done. I chose to put it in the center console as well so it's not visible and then plug it in too and the sound quality is preserved. That being said, it will probably differ between your phone and the device depending on the vehicle material. In general, the purchase is very satisfied. Sorry for the shaky video
