I used this product to replace a motorcycle chain and the tool head used to expand a chain rivet was weaker than the rivet itself and deformed immediately. I had no trouble using this tool to remove the old chain after grinding down the rivet head, but that's only half the process. At very low torque, the bearing head expanding chain rivets conformed to the shape of the rivet and did not expand at all (see attached drawings). Also watch out for metal splinters; I ran my fingers over one of the threaded parts and collected half a dozen pieces of metal in my hand. However, shards do not affect functionality. UPDATE: I contacted the manufacturer and they responded within 1 business day and sent me the replacement part I needed. The replacement part did its job as expected.
