Review on 🧡 Hemming Made Easy with SINGER 00750 Hemming Kit by Amy Mcleod

Big disappointment! It's sad to see a cheap Chinese product called Singer.

I think you get what you pay for. Although the Singer name meant I was getting a great price for a quality product, it didn't. It looked fine when I received it, although I immediately noticed that the needle bar is cheap plastic (the kind that breaks easily) and the sewing template is very flimsy. I was trying to get the needle out of the openable case and found it very difficult to turn the handle. You need to line up the small hole on the side of the dial with the section that contains the needle you want and eject it from the hole. After several tries, it finally moved and missed the pinhole, that I wanted. When I twisted it back after much effort, about half of the pins in that slot flew out, and I realized these weren't the ones I "aimed" at. I gave up, settled on one of them and had trouble getting the others back because the hole didn't line up perfectly with the slot. Very disappointing. The needles themselves aren't very sharp and aren't the weight and strength of the Singer needles I know and love (bought years ago or used by my mom, which might mean I agree with the PIERSONCOMPUTER review - it's missing one Instructions for tape binding and it would be nice to include a pin cushion. , so I included a magnet in my "kit" and now it contains the pins, that I used in addition to the needles that I could not return to the case because it no longer turns to open a small hole. At this point I would give 2 stars. I had to reduce it to one. The deciding factor that made me give my opinion (and 1 star!) for this low quality Singer product was the theme. Haven't used it to this day (a few months after I bought it) when I needed to fix a large bag and found you can't easily find or reach the end of the thread to use it! I tried black, then navy, and none of them had a loose end. I saw what I thought was the end sticking out of the black, but it was sticking out of the center of the spool and wouldn't budge. It was covered with many layers of thread, and I couldn't use it without unwinding at least half of it. I grabbed a third spool - a red one this time - just to see if I could find the end of the thread. nope! I thought it was impossible and tried it on my best friend. I didn't mention how long I struggled with this. After about 20 minutes I found him unwinding the red thread and struggling with it not to get tangled as it is very poor quality and 'sticky' - it breaks and sticks to itself. Terrible quality. He has since confirmed that he didn't find an end to either navy blue or black and began pulling the thread from one end to catch it on one of them. I told him to forget it. This is not to be upset and I don't think the "broken" thread will survive. Finally, I rummaged through my travel stuff and found a sewing kit from the hotel. The needle and thread were of much better quality and I used them to mend the handle of a bag. While I understand it's called a "filing kit" and is to be used only in emergencies, if I had an urgent situation - like an unexpected job interview - and I needed to attend to a non-essential matter, I would get really upset. Repair with this kit.
