I had high hopes that they would reduce energy consumption in my (rather large) Christmas village. With 45 lightbulbs of 5-7 watts each, electricity costs increased every season. However, once I started installing I was disappointed that these new LED bulbs were not the advertised 'warm white' 2700K color. Instead they were probably at least 4000K bright white, trending towards 5000K daylight tint. For a warm glow effect in a Christmas village, the cold tint of these lights is unacceptable. They're also a bit dimmer than my other bulbs, but I could easily live with a slightly dimmer output if the color lived up to my expectations. So it's time to bring them back and try other manufacturers' C7 LED bulbs that are true warm white.
