Nicely made but missing details

When I think of Swiss I think of Premium. This case has superb Swiss build quality, but lacks a few features that prevent me from giving it high marks. It's still serviceable, but Swissgear isn't the cheapest way to box your iPad - I expected more. Pros: + Looks good and nicely finished. + A good size if you make the iPad your main axe. (ie no more lugging around a laptop)+ Separate, lightly padded case for an iPad (or other desk) with storage space on the surface. Including flap with magnetic closure. + The magnetic flap is nicer than velcro because it doesn't make as much noise when opening. + Nice mix of zipper, mesh and opaque pockets. , accessories, battery pack, etc. it can weigh more than a few pounds without really cramming it - as long as there's no handle. So you have to grab and carry it, squeeze it into your hand (kind of like defeating body defenses) and slip it under your arm (okay I guess?). or throw it all in your backpack (IMHO, against the whole idea of having such a pillow pack). A small handle for the strap, that's all you need. There is nothing outside of this bag, not even hangar hinges. I think this is a serious deficiency. The elastic loops inside are well made and sewn on. The problem is that there aren't enough smaller ones to fit all sorts of accessories the mat will have - at least my accessories. Worse, there are no cables for a flash drive. So I have to toss the flash drives in one of the zippered pockets. Not so good, because then you have to catch them and not just have them ready. "Wait," you say, "the iPad doesn't actually support USB, so why are you complaining?" I have double-sided USB sticks with Lightning on one end and USB on the other. I also have Lightning to SD converters. I need a place to store small things. It is said to be able to hold an 11-inch iPad. Uh, my mini just fits comfortably. I've been playing around with the ruler a bit and while an 11 inch mat will do, I think it will hamper the use of the sleeve. Let's see when I get my iPad Air. Conclusion If I had received it as a gift, I would not turn away from it. I think I can add a strap to mine. I wouldn't buy if I made a new decision. I would consider a great tomtoc bag with YKK zippers and a handle on one end.
