I bought this heating tool to weld in handmade soap. , my soap melted first! This pistol is so comfortable and very easy to use - I consider it on my top 5 tools list. Maybe top 3. It's not heavy, heats up quickly and evenly, and cools down just as quickly. I've wanted one of these for most of my life but haven't bothered to buy one yet. I think it would have been unwise to buy it years ago, but since technology has advanced so much, it makes the overall user experience MUCH more enjoyable. When I used it at work 25 years ago, it was incredibly heavy in comparison. It had to be connected to a power source. And it was dangerous. Nothing between you and a damn hot metal tip at the end. I highly recommend you try this thermal tool. I know I LOVE mine!
