This is for my garage, I just plugged it in, flipped the switch and God said there would be light. You can see everything. You can see through walls, you can see into the future. It's light. CURRENTLY. I don't leave it on very long because I just don't have to go in, turn it on, get what I need, turn it off, I mean it was probably on for 15-20 minutes, I'm just saying that because they are just in case that they get hot, I don't really know, have aluminum fins and something else to keep them cool, so I'm a little doubtful that that would be a problem. Anyway if you just need a garage light so you can see your whole garage this is what you need and I think it would be great in the attic too. In fact, I'll definitely be buying one for my attic because I've had a lightbulb in my attic since 1996 and it's cute.
