Let me start with a few quick facts: I'm an electrical engineer who loves quality audio equipment. I've serviced, repaired/rebuilt everything, from McIntosh, Pioneer, Marantz, Rotel, NAD, du NAIM (sorry, that was some audiophile humor). I bought a Darer MP-5BT on the recommendation of a friend. I was a little skeptical as I rarely find a modern tube amp that meets all my needs. However, my friend loved it and the price was right, so I thought it might be worth a try. First impressions: 1) Shipping was fast and the experience after unpacking was very pleasant. The product is well packed and can be connected and switched on immediately. 2) I liked the addition of white gloves for the pipe work, it was very stylish. 3) When I took the product out of the box I was impressed by the weight of the amp, it's quite heavy for its size (always a good sign for audio equipment) 4) When I first unpacked the product, my eye was instantly drawn attracted to the rich black accents that are so shiny and elegant; I could hardly stand the time it took me to get it across the room to plug it in. 5) The first speakers I connected the amp to were an old JPW P1 set, I use them all for demonstration purposes because I know the nuances. Boxes and have tested many amplifiers with them. 6) I turned on the amp and immediately lifted my jaw off the floor, what was I listening to? IMPRESSIVE! 7) This amp is crisp, clean, with clear highs and lows when first turned on. 8) Once the amp has warmed up, it turns into a smooth, warm, caramelized sound that wraps you in a warm blanket. 9) I was so relaxed with a creamy warm tone I didn't realize an hour had passed. What a pleasure to listen to! 10) Like everything else I own, I quickly took the amp apart to check the build quality and internal condition. It's immaculate, I mean literally! I'm not sure if you can see the internals in the photos I've posted, but this product appears to be hand built and the attention to detail is masterful, the build quality is amazing! Conclusion: It's nice to be surprised by the quality of the product these days, this Dared Tube amp is so good I can't even find the words to do it justice! This is one of the best tube amps I've ever had the privilege of demoing. I wouldn't be surprised if the company hired one of McIntosh's finest engineers at the time. That thing is so good! If you are thinking of buying this amp then don't buy it, you will love it! I must add that I will only buy from the NewSong seller. I tried contacting another seller on Revain before purchasing. They're clearly just trying to resell something they don't know about. On the other hand, NewSong is a pleasure to deal with, they are responsive and very knowledgeable about their products. If you have any problems or questions, you need to know that NewSong is the only company they want to help you with. Have fun while listening!
