Review on ๐Ÿงน Lodge Care Cleaning Brush, 10 Inch, Ivory by Laura Washington

This is the way to cast iron if you want to learn!

I've tried scrapers, tried the kosher salt method, even tried post cleaners. This brush consistently cleans my cast iron skillet without removing a layer of spices. Hot water and this brush is all you need. With a seasoned pan, I rarely have to "brush" with this brush, and I never have to push hard enough to break the brush! I've had my brush for two years now, it hasn't broken but the bristles have started to wear out a bit and are getting stiff so I'm buying another one today. If you choose cast iron, you need to learn a new way of cleaning and maintaining it. Once you learn that and get that brush, you're done. When you're done cooking, keep the pan on the fire, add some oil until hot, then add some water to the pan under running hot water, which will cook and sizzle, causing the food/leftovers break up in the pan Use a brush to break up and rub what's in the pan relatively gently, then wash it all off with hot running water. Then use a paper towel to dry the pan and "smear" the thin layer of oil that wasn't washed off completely. . **DO NOT rinse off the remaining layer of oil - this is KEY to keeping the pan sharp. When I first started I really loved my cast iron because the layer of spice never loses and it bonds more and more with every use. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BRUSH!
