This N95 mask offers good dust protection but its best feature is the toughness of the outer shell. This is a plastic mesh that supports the internal filter membranes and exhalation valve. I've done some sweaty sanding jobs with them and they hold up much better than me on wet and hot jobs. The strap has a quick-release function that allows you to remove the mask from your nose and mouth and hang it around your neck during rest breaks. Don't lose it on a dusty surface. It is a particle mask and does not eliminate odors. However, it does not have an odor of its own, which makes it uncomfortable to wear. Yes, maybe a bit more expensive, but they do their job very well.
