It's compact and I had to fit into a tight space. The instructions said to insert the leg into the countertop first, which is a mistake, and when the leg was inserted it screwed right into the cheap wood and made a permanent hole in it. What you mount above is a support post, not a leg post. But luckily it was still ok for my Sony turntable and the bottom shelf holds my small speakers and amp fits on the floor. I mostly use Bluetooth. Overall it looks and works well but you need to fix the error in the instructions as others have noted including the image of the article on Revain if you notice a bulge where the support post is.
