See color! - General Accessories

Purchased Mahogany Victrola and Mahogany Wood Stand, although some reviewers said their stand arrived with an orange stain. We think so too. It has an orange mahogany stain in complete contrast to Victrola's mahogany which is a maroon color. Instead of sending it back, which I should have done, I tried to repaint it. That does not work. Finally painted it black. Looks great but I still have $31 left on stain and paint not to mention my 2 days at the booth! Beware.

Twisting the legs will damage the shaft.

The first step is to put the plate on and insert the legs into the holes. I turned around and when I felt resistance I stopped. I put the fourth leg in and flipped it over to find three bumps where the legs went in. It broke the table top. I'm so disappointed because I was looking forward to putting this together. I ordered it for same day delivery and it didn't arrive until the next day. While I was disappointed with this, I understand that sometimes shipping is out of our control. But when I…

It's compact and I had to fit into a tight space. The instructions said to insert the leg into the countertop first, which is a mistake, and when the leg was inserted it screwed right into the cheap wood and made a permanent hole in it. What you mount above is a support post, not a leg post. But luckily it was still ok for my Sony turntable and the bottom shelf holds my small speakers and amp fits on the floor. I mostly use Bluetooth. Overall it looks and works well but you need to fix the…

Solid wood, easy assembly

It looks like solid wood with a nice finish, especially after using a wood conditioner. Assembly was easy, follow the instructions. No issues with the length of the screws being pressed into the top or issues with the stand holding the panels without flexing, I suspect the reviewers who had these issues assembled it incorrectly. There's a slight backlash, not so much. It holds about 50 records and a heavy turntable with no play or flex. Above is space for a Pro-Ject Debut turntable, a Pro-ject…

Vinyl is a beauty: music stand

I'm giving it 4.6 stars and because of this: - There were some paint defects on the legs - For a turntable, it wobbles slightly (but not enough to return it) - Me find the metal "stands" unnecessary, the records sit snugly on the stand legs for me, but some people may really want the stands to be sturdier for a horizontal wire for extra support. This is easily accomplished by reinforcing the wood under the screws and also using slightly thicker wire. Some constructive criticism for better…

Stable stand, great value for money!

Great stand for my Victrola! It is assembled very easily and efficiently, the assembly time can be 5 minutes. I've read some reviews about it being wobbly or leg bolts breaking the top level surface. I ordered it anyway, hoping the issues people were reporting were just user error. The screws on the bottom legs are about 1/4 inch longer than the middle ones, so make sure you do it slowly and use the right parts in the right places. This is a pretty sturdy stand, definitely does the job and…
