My MAC is almost empty. over 3000 photos and videos. New cell phones and my digital camera create HUGE 8 megapixel files for photography. The 1080P videos I create are even bigger. I had a Western Digital drive (250 megabits) for several years and it worked perfectly, although it had to be reconfigured to work with my Apple computer. This little passport is DESIGNED to work with Apple and configured to do the same. Just plug it in and move your photo files OUTSIDE your MAC. It holds an insane amount of stuff at 2 terrabits and is about 1/10th the size of my old WD drive. They even designed the case to match Apple's brushed aluminum look. This is a great product.
