They kept the dog but he tried very hard!
Our dog likes to rummage through the garbage from time to time. We're fed up. I installed one of these a few days ago. Today I came home to the attached photos. He grabbed a piece of the garbage bag that wasn't covered with a lid, pulled it out as far as he could, but he couldn't open the lid. I call it a success, even if we had to pick up black plastic off the floor afterwards. :)
