I love these! I originally bought them for the fridge after my 2 year old walked in and smashed a chocolate pudding cake all over the floor and poured 4 pints of buttermilk all over the living room carpet. But I used the 2nd to "lock" the child's gate in the kitchen, which he came up with!

I bought these to keep my 18 month old twins away from our entertainment center. We have two glass doors that they just happily opened. It was easy to put on but unfortunately one of my girls pulled on the strap before it was actually installed and ripped the rear latch (which we don't use) off the tree.
