Wanted to buy new cabinets, heard about this color and thought "why don't you try it?" It says no sanding or anything. I rough sanded first just to make sure I completely removed all the old dirt and grease beforehand. After a quick sanding, I used a plain green paint to remove any dust and excess dirt that might have stuck. I removed all the doors and painted the cabinet frames. Then I painted all the doors (in 2-3 layers), the paint dries pretty quickly, so after 3-4 hours it was possible to apply another layer. I changed the cabinet hardware and rearranged all the doors. looks great Everyone who saw them asked if we bought new cabinets. I used licorice black and it turned out way better than I was hoping for. I recommend this color over anything I have ever used. I can't comment on durability yet as it's still very new. However, I bought a gallon and only used about half for the entire kitchen. So instead of spending $4,000 on new cabinets, I spent about 30 hours, some hard work, $100 on paint, $100 on new kitchen handles. Doors and another $100 for the tiles I'll be laying behind the backsplash. So I saved about $3700 on this color and for that it gets 5 stars all day, every day. I've added before and after photos for you to see.
