I already have five of these cards and they haven't let me down. My main camera is a Canon 60D plus a couple of Canon P&S cameras. This review is primarily intended to address the issue mentioned in "Most Helpful Criticism". Namely with stopping the video recording after 2 seconds. After some experimentation, I was convinced that the problem was free space fragmentation. Many people tend to delete "non-savers" when looking at recently taken pictures. This will create blocks of memory marked as free on the map. If you try to record a video and the camera starts writing in the lowest free block it finds, it will have to look for another free block when it is full. Here the problem arises. My experiments were simple: start with a freshly formatted card. Shoot a few hundred pictures, a few videos. As long as the map is filled sequentially, with no erasures, there are no sudden stops in the video. Never. Now review the captured images and delete a few here and there. Try making a video. There is an almost 100% guarantee that you will get a sudden stop on recording. If you record in JPEG format, freezing occurs within 2 seconds. If you shoot RAW, this happens after 5-6 seconds. My guess is that the Sandisk controller chips are using a different garbage collection algorithm and may be using most of the remaining free space instead of reusing freed blocks. This would really make them more appealing to those who tend to search and erase on camera. I personally never erase in camera. I keep shooting until the map is full. After transferring from the card to the PC and backing it up, I format the card in the camera instead of erasing it. Except for my experiments, I've never seen a video stop abruptly.
