I'm very happy with the shape, style and color of the basket, I only wish they offered it in a larger size. I added it to my fireplace hearth as decor (and for my cat to hide in apparently!). It arrived in great condition, so no complaints there. It's very light, so I don't think it's meant to carry anything heavy. You may be able to drape a light throw over the side, but I haven't tried, so not sure if the sides would fold over, or if the weight of a blanket would cause it to tip over.although you could always place a rock or brick in the bottom to keep it in place. That said, it adds an organic/rustic vibe to my decor, which is exactly what I was looking for, so I'm a happy camper!
