This was the perfect goal for us! Our 3 month old pup (chocolate lab) started jumping over the cheap gate we had that keeps him in his room when we are at work so we had to do something. I liked that this gate offers an automatic closing function and stays open at an affordable price. Our only problem was that it didn't close smoothly at first. It closed automatically but we had to pull to lock it. After a quick adjustment of the parts pressing against the door frame, everything works perfectly! I love the way it looks and it's the perfect height! Now we don't worry about our pup getting out. The only downside I see is that the actual opening might be a bit narrow for a taller person. We're pretty "average" (maybe a little fat) and we're just getting by.
