I was a little concerned reading some of the reviews - these cables may have been listed as sold separately in the past - for example one speaker cable per unit. Just like now, you get a pair of cables, which was a welcome sight when they arrived. Don't worry, this is for a PAIR of speaker cables. The cables themselves are packaged in a very attractive presentation box and like all High Line SKW cables all metal connector housings as well as the metal splinters are covered in a soft plastic sleeve that is easy to remove and avoid scratching them. The cables are *massive*, really overloaded, and judging by the actual size of the conductor (12AWG?), most of that circumference is insulation (my life story). However, I love the beautifully machined connectors, the tangle-free nylon braid, and the high quality of the real cable it contains. reportedly able to hear the difference between copper crystals grown in utopian communes in organic copper factories on Fiji's black-sand beaches, and crystals harvested in a guy's basement in Poughkeepsie named Eugene. However, good cables sound better and bad cables can sound bad. and it sounds fantastic. Currently they connect via custom adapters to a converted Kenwood KA-8100 and then to an early 80's Klipsch Heresy - there's a sense of power and authority in the sound that gives the Heresy its punch and excitement in every way, but also its high-current performance. . I ended up raising the cords (what did I say about voodoo?) with some vintage ceramic poly insulators, partly just to keep the nice cords off the ground, and partly because. does not hurt? In the general system of speaker cables, it is beneficial, and in the general system of speaker cables, they are perfectly functional. I know there are hundreds of offers out there promising most of my annual salary and if you can afford to pay that much for a piece of wire then I have a bridge that might interest you. SKW does a great job with cables, fit and finish and SQ and I have been happy with every purchase I have made from them including these beauties.
