Review on 🍼 Frida Baby Windi - Gas and Colic Reliever for Babies (10 Count) by Mike Nix

After my 5 week old baby cried nonstop for 2 hours, culminating in that high pitched very intense baby cry that had my cat running and hiding, I went and used this thing. Her crying was so severe that she stopped breathing temporarily and I was already trying everything I could think of to calm her down, even breaking down and crying with her for about 10 minutes. First I smeared it with coconut oil and inserted it very gently, swirling, into her rectum until I heard a hiss and, boy, LOTS of gas came out, some poop too, but it was at least 4 very large farts. After that she calmed down considerably and was basically whimpering and stayed awake sucking her pacifier for another 3 hours before finally falling asleep exhausted. So yes, this thing helped A LOT and worked exactly the way it was supposed to. BUT. After seeing a reviewer mention that their pediatrician disapproved, I emailed our pediatrician and asked about it. He said he wouldn't recommend it as it could create addiction and cause problems later in the long run. I can definitely understand that constant use can prevent a child from developing the necessary muscle coordination to be able to expel gas on their own. . I think if I use it again it's only as a last resort. Today, dirty water and a warm chamomile-lavender bath seemed to help.
