As usual, Deb Tucker's templates are the best and have great instructions on how to make perfect geese of the same size. After making some geese I realized that I needed to scale up the size a bit to ensure I get the exact geese as well as the exact size I chose. I enlarged the smaller squares by adding 1/4" to 1/2" (also by aligning them exactly with the edge of the larger square instead of shifting them 1/16th as instructed in the instructions) to make sure I'm not just the right size. but all geese had a "generous" 1/4 seam at the top along with two bottom tips that fitted right up at the corners. By increasing the size of the smaller square a bit more than the instructions indicated, this template started to WORK LIKE MAGIC as I got accurate geese every time, and also gave me the ability to have a generous 1/4 seam allowance at the top, which I prefer to have with my geese. Just think about the size of small squares, not big ones.
