Review on Steelman Flexible Silicone Non-Slip/High Grip Tool Organizer Storage Tray, 6 Storage Compartments And 5 Socket Holes, Non-Magnetic, Non-Marring, Chemical-Resistant, Easy Wash, Medium by Dustin Wheeler

Very high quality, thick silicone, great for holding tools while you work on a vehicle

These trays are fantastic. The quality is so much nicer than I expected and these aren't flimsy at all. The small trays nest inside the large tray or they can all be arranged separately in a tool box or workbench. I have found the smaller trays to be invaluable when doing automotive work as they provide a place to hold nuts, bolts, and small parts so they don't get lost. The silicone can handle being set on hot engine parts (within reason, I wouldn't set it on a hot exhaust manifold) and the trays are flexible without being flimsy. The medium sized tray has spaces to hold 5 sockets so you can have a better chance of not losing that 10mm socket (again). The small tray has slots for driver bits or drill bits, and you can also put small screws in there if you are trying to put them back in a certain order. Many options for how to use these trays, you can tell a lot of thought was put into the design of these. The trays can get pretty dirty, depending on what you are working on but they are easy to clean. I like to spray them with degreaser and then just hose them off and they come mostly clean that way. I couldn't be happier with this set of silicone trays. They are definitely not budget quality and these trays should last forever as part of my garage tool set. This, along with magnetic parts holders are my favorite helper tools when working on vehicles with a lot of loose nuts and bolts and washers.

Pros
  • Slip resistant - slip resistant construction safely grips to surfaces and stored tools
Cons
  • The tray's non-slip feature may not hold up well against extremely smooth surfaces, resulting in the tray sliding around and tools falling out
