I'm afraid to check the water resistance. We lost our last iPad to water. So far my 7 year old has survived many iPad falls and it still works. Easy to wash with wet towels as it is water resistant making it more durable. The sound is still loud through the case. It still works with tempered glass (I had a cover before, didn't want to take it off) on the iPad. The stand is still holding. Other coasters broke off. I have concerns about overheating as phones do when they get too hot for the case, but to date I haven't seen an iPad get too hot.
