In general the device is quite reliable. My problem is that the fasteners needed for the drywall really aren't enough. These are typical plastic inserts that require you to drill MANY HOLES in the drywall and then glue them in place. You have to be careful not to drill holes that are too big or they just won't hold. Also, they tend to twist in the hole, so you'll need to replace them with better quality inserts. For the pile boards (which are very good metal pile boards, by the way) I decided to use large drywall anchors that screw into the drywall. I was afraid that the inserted inserts would simply pull out under the weight of the pegs. There are a number of holes in the tray and cup rail that need to be drilled and this is where I am concerned that the extension inserts that come with the kit will eventually pull out. By the way, I ordered a device with two additional hooks and expected that there would be a rail for these hooks. NO no rail. Considering the spreader inserts, I really don't think the rails can withstand the torque put on them when using these hooks. I need to find a place to use these hooks, a bit of a waste so I wouldn't order this kit just ordering the standard kit. Conclusion: Good product, does what I need and can be expanded by adding more metal pads. BAD expansion inserts, at some point I will most likely have to replace them all. Oh the package is about 8 screws less than it should be.
