Pros: The metal bar in the hoop really helps limit range of motion. The thumb is insulated so if you have thumb problems this splint can help depending on how much you want it. (Read the cons on that.) Velcro straps allow you to adjust the tension. Cons: It's quite bulky, reaching halfway down my forearm. The thumb straps have to be quite tight to really restrict movement, so much so that my thumb often goes numb and I have to loosen them. Overall I would buy it again if needed. This effectively prevents wrist movement. However, if I was purely looking for something to insulate my thumb, I might look elsewhere.
