Received this for a manufacturing project and was not disappointed. The device paired easily with the phone and played loud, very loud audio on a set of 3W speakers. I hadn't designed and built the speaker box yet, but the sound was still very powerful with the speakers just standing on the table. The device requires a user-supplied power supply. I used a 12v outlet from my junk drawer and the unit is rated for a wide input of 8-24v. I could test the lower end of this to see if a standard battery extender would power the device, but I could always use two in a row. User controls worked well, I found the volume controls offered plenty of range with up/down and press to pause functions.
