I bought this scarf to double as a protective shawl at night and trendy headwear during the day. The large size makes it suitable for both. However, texture is both good and bad. It definitely looks and feels as silky in real life as it does in the pictures. But the smooth texture makes it a bit slippery when tying. They need grooming fairly constantly, if you move around or if you don't sleep well this may not work as a protective cloak for you. I can recommend this scarf. The quality is amazing for the price. I'm working on wrapping it in different ways to minimize slippage, but until then it suits me well as a fashion statement.
