Great little remote control for 2 garage doors

I have used and enjoyed a number of different smart devices from this company including wall switches, indoor and outdoor sockets. I also bought their "smart" garage door opener. Although I initially had some trouble getting it set up properly (due to the fact that my garage door openers are quite old), the company's email support was very prompt, responsive and efficient. With their help, the "smart” workshop control system quickly got to work. I bought all previous items from this company myself. They then gave me their new universal garage door remote to try and test - reviews and opinions are my own. The device arrived quickly and in perfect condition. At first I was a little surprised at how small the block is - see photo for size comparison with UStown. That's probably a good thing since it won't take up much space. But keep an eye on it - it can be easy to get lost and hard to find. It comes with a metal visor clip that helps. Second, the device comes with a written user manual, however. A) it's very small - the imprint is tiny - very tiny - I say put away your tiny magnifying glass. B) The installation/configuration instructions are brief and not entirely clear, particularly step #4. I have 2 garage door openers - both are "legacy" meaning they use "dip switch" settings. So the rest of this review regarding installation is based on my experience with this type of opener. One of my openers uses microswitches that only have 2 positions (up/down). With this opener I assigned the positions on the garage door to the switches on the universal remote control. Then, with some trial and error, I was able to get the remote to work. My other garage door opener has 3 position (up/middle/down) micro switches. Since the universal remote only has 2 position micro switches, I didn't know how to set the remote's switches to match the switches on my garage door. . Here I contacted the company's support team again via email. They were quick to respond and were able to offer me a workable solution that might be obvious to others but not to me. I ended up installing a new DIP switch code on the garage door that only used the full on or full off positions (avoiding the middle position). I then used this new code when setting up the universal remote control. Problem solved. The board worked. So overall I'm very happy with this universal remote - I was able to get it to work with both of my old DIP switch style garage door openers. It is convenient that you can control each door with a remote control. The range seems good and so far so good. I would give the device 5 stars, except for the very tiny manual and assembly instructions, which are not very detailed. I would give customer support 5 stars. On two occasions they responded quickly and provided answers and solutions.
