Plastic main tube 😯👎

After several months of use, this tripod is completely disappointing. At first glance it seems so well put together for the price. But that is by no means the case, because the center bar, around which all the beautiful metal parts are gathered, consists of a slippery cheap plastic tube. The thumbscrew that attaches to it is the smallest on the tripod, and yet this is where you have to use the most force as the plastic will slip off. You can tighten it all you want, but the end of the screw doesn't feel well secured. I'm afraid it will tear and last a long time. To be honest I would avoid this tripod as that plastic center pole gives the impression of a "throw away" tripod. Seems like they designed the rest first and then ran out of budget and just said so. foof it, just screw it directly onto the plastic tube is enough. What I noticed before I bought it is that you can't swivel the head without letting go of the ball head handle, which is a shame in retrospect because the swivel head is really smooth-running. ! If they went with a different screw it would be amazingly epic. You cannot pan on this tripod as your camera will fall on the sphere. You can do whatever you want, but I found I needed the extra height and that's where the weakness really comes out. Conclusion: It looks stocky and reasonable, but it isn't.

Pros
  • Stretches to 50cm height, collapsing to 23cm/9.1in, five-piece height adjustable legs
Cons
  • Was damaged
