I had to return two of these - I can't get the third one. There is an issue with the center column, which consists of two tubes bolted together. The first tripod I came across had a curved center column. The second had an issue where the two halves of the center column would not stay together. Two tripods with defects in one place is a design problem. I strongly advise against buying this tripod. Just buy a good, full-size, flat tripod and set it on the table. Don't bother.

This product only lasted a few weeks. The arm/rod holding the camera's ball head separates and no longer stays together (pictured). This isn't the part that gets screwed on and off all the time. I bought this tripod for an upcoming trip to Jasper National Park and wanted it to fit in my luggage and also be able to balance with my heavy Nikon D7500 camera. As you can see from the photos it does a great job! I especially like the camera mount thumbscrew as it has a small grip along with a slot. I never seem to have a dime or a dime when I need it. I have had a Slik mini and a Bestshoot Desktop min. I have owned the Slik the longest but it seems to be the cheapest of them all. It also has no ball head and the adjustment lever protrudes unnecessarily for my purpose. Although this is the cheapest feeling, if not abused it will last a long time. I've had mine for over 5 years now and it still works perfectly. The maximum height on the slick is 9 inches. The minimum size is probably around 7. Next is Bestshoot. It's heavier and much stronger.
