The negative comments about removing the back cover are absolutely correct. So are the comments suggesting wearing rubber gloves. Watch out for latex gloves also works, as do the round rubber grommets used to remove lids from cans. The trick is to get enough "grip" between the front and back of the timing cover, as the front has a very thin edge. Like the original Samsung remote control, to remove the back cover, need to press down and slide in the direction of the arrow. Can't comment on durability or life expectancy, but at this point the cost certainly exceeds the Samsung brand's retail price difference.
