Maybe it's because I'm so used to a trackball that has left and right buttons on each side, but this Kensington Orbit trackball is extremely cumbersome to use and does not have good ergonomics. The main problem is that the left/right buttons are on the side. Of course, when I press the left button, I compensate by pressing the right button to hold the device in place. I press the left and right buttons at the same time. When I pick the device up or move it out of the way, I end up pressing both left/right buttons. If I take my hand off the device and just roll the ball with my fingers is the direction I'm spinning the ball. However, this only happens when I use the device on a smooth surface (e.g. granite countertop, stainless steel table). I didn't have the scrolling issues (either side of the ball) like others. I have to make an effort not to touch the ball with my fingers, causing the screen/text to scroll. I would prefer the button to be on the top of the device on either side of the ball. A good device in terms of workmanship, but for me that's the only positive thing. Advantages: - Good construction/materials. Disadvantages: - Uncomfortable ergonomics.
