Good product, more pros than cons.

For three days I tried to adapt to the sensory ring. As a result, I found that the finger should be held where the black surface bends, close to the bend. Otherwise, half of the finger movements are lost. The ball moves easily and softly, although it could be more. But the buttons located at an angle of 45 degrees are extremely convenient. Why don't they do this on a mouse? And my wrist doesn't hurt anymore :) It is interesting that if I could use the mouse with only one hand, then I calmly…

Pros
  • No need to move your wrist. More accurate than a mouse. Buttons are easier to press than mouse buttons. Easy to use with both hands. You can shift from the left side to the right without thinking about the wire. No mat needed. The ball is exceptionally pleasant to the touch, easy to pull out :) The battery compartment has a hidden niche for storing a small pimp sticking into usb.
Cons
  • Overcharge. It takes a few days to get used to the touch wheel replacement. The trackball is too wide for a small female hand. Batteries need to be replaced. Ball stops need to be cleaned. Slightly aching fingers from unaccustomed. The battery compartment is difficult to open.

FOR "HARD TO USE " - RETURN IMMEDIATELY; WHAT HAPPENED TO KENSINGTON?

I had the original 6 x 6 Kensington Trackball Billiards Billiard Ball - IT WAS AMAZING! They had 2 mouse buttons for your FINGERS - EXACTLY WHERE THEY SHOULD BE! I often use the laptop on the recliner chair and use CAD software that I regularly have to zoom in and out on. I was convinced that a TRACKBALL would solve all my zoom in/out problems. but I was BIG WRONG. This trackball's odd scroll ring (only works on PART of the ring around the ball) - along with the THUMB enabled buttons, now…

Everything is great except scrolling (updated August 6, 2019)

I bought this to use with either hand as I'm having trouble with my dominant hand. The trackball wasn't that difficult to figure out, although pressing the button under my ring finger is still a little tricky. My main problem is scrolling. To scroll, you must drag your finger across the slightly textured area around the base of the sphere. I can't get this to work smoothly; The scrolling is so jerky and unpredictable that I had to pull out my old Mac trackpad to scroll through long documents…

as i have had great success with kensington trackballs in the past

I was glad to get this as i have had great success with kensington trackballs in the past. I needed something wireless and thought it would be great. Instead it was a nightmare. The trackball sensitivity is weird. Sometimes it's too sensitive, sometimes it's not sensitive enough. It's frustrating when trying to draw or point to a specific area on the screen. I approach the spot and then start slowing down to get to the exact spot. Sometimes the cursor just stops and doesn't move even though the

Awkward to use, good for computer accessories and peripherals

Maybe it's because I'm so used to a trackball that has left and right buttons on each side, but this Kensington Orbit trackball is extremely cumbersome to use and does not have good ergonomics. The main problem is that the left/right buttons are on the side. Of course, when I press the left button, I compensate by pressing the right button to hold the device in place. I press the left and right buttons at the same time. When I pick the device up or move it out of the way, I end up pressing both

Doesn't work - replacement was even worse

I was looking for a trackball with a scroll wheel like the Kensington wired trackball. Even though it was big, it seemed useful. It hurt to use it. I didn't mind the size at first, but I was never able to get Bluetooth to work on this one or its warranty replacement. The ball wasn't designed to stay inside if the trackball was tipped or flipped, and I generally had to search for the ball after it fell out. To make matters worse, the damn thing stopped working a few months after I got it…

  • Finally bought it

Good trackball for left-handers and versatile users

Just received it today and have been using it for a few hours so this is definitely a "first impression” review. I was looking for a wireless trackball that I can use left handed and this is one of very few. Despite being right-handed, I moved with my left hand for decades due to repetitive stress injuries in my right hand. I've always used the Logitech Trackman Marble Mouse for its ergonomics and the fact that it's ambidextrous, so I can switch to my right hand if I want to. But after all this

It's just not worth it. the best among keyboards, mice and accessories

When I got this, it took me some time to get used to it. The whole point of a trackball (aside from not requiring a surface) is its ergonomics, but the button layout on this trackball is so awkward that my hands get tired after daily use. Like anything with wheels, you'll need to take the ball out and brush off the lint about once a week to keep it moving smoothly. Unfortunately after a few months the entire top with the electronics decided to pop out and I lost 1 of those (tiny tiny) rollers…

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Long delivery time
