Review on Keyboard A4Tech KV-300H gray by Wiktor Sakowski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Just super, the product is made wonderfully, very satisfied.

I have been staring at this model for a long time, because I love keyboards that look remotely like keyboards from Apple, and those that are put in laptops. Keep in mind right away that this is a mid-budget option (I took it for 1600 with a penny), and you make some compromises (I personally always have this attitude towards A4Tech - there may be set-ups, at least after some time of operation) . I immediately accepted the fact that there might not be multimedia keys, but it turned out that in new revisions they were added using the Fn (respectos) key. It all works fine, I liked the separate button to call the explorer, but I didn’t enter with the last icon on F12 (it says on the box that this is “my favorite”, but it doesn’t call bookmarks and doesn’t do anything in the explorer either - who can, explain especially gifted, what is it). My copy turned out to be humpbacked, that is, the middle part rises a bit (see photo) - this leads to the fact that when pressed in this area, the clave can beat a little with a rubber gasket on the table. I tried to gently bend it - to no avail (well, or I didn’t bend it enough, I didn’t dare to do it harder). Resolved the issue. that I attached a piece of soft furniture sticker to the middle leg - now the keyboard is almost perfectly level. All of the above in my understanding - nitpicking. If you like laptop keyboards and want a quiet, compact thing like this on your desktop, I definitely recommend giving it a try. Mine really turned out to be quite quiet, only the keys listed in the shortcomings cause doubt, but I do not use them as often as, say, a space. And the spacebar doesn’t rattle for me, and this, of course, is especially pleasant after ultra-budget keyboards, because there this creature is always the most clanging. I write impressions on it. If any bugs are found, I will ate the review.

Pros
  • Compactness, shallow key travel, low volume when used, adequate cost (if it serves well)), fn key for multimedia control in new revisions, usb holes on the sides (mb and will come in handy someday)
Cons
  • The surface is crooked, some keys have a little play and can create minimal additional noise when touched (in my case, this is right shift, left ctrl, esc, 0 on Numpad and the entire top row (Esc with F-kami)
