The collar is soft and light, made of high quality leather.

Received this today and my Chihuahua shorthair mix Harry and I are completely happy with this collar. It is very soft leather and supple. And it's lightweight, which is great for a small dog. I put one of those braided collars on him, but it drove him crazy. He just scratched and scratched (no, he didn't have fleas). So I took off the collar. He escaped last night when I was taking out the trash and I didn't know it. He spent the night wandering the streets in the cold weather and a Good Samaritan student at St Joe's Hospital found him and took him to the vet to have his microchip scanned, which luckily he had. I'm very happy to have it back. But he needs a collar and this one is perfect.
