These lamps have fairly decent light quality and are bright enough to be called the equivalent of 60 watts, maybe a bit more. For the price, you like the style of the lamp better because you pay extra for it. I tried them in a floor lamp with open lamp cages and the bulbs are too bright in this case. Only consider them for certain types of chandeliers where they are big enough not to be glare if you leave them open. Even then, there are some Edison-style LED bulbs available at a cheaper price.
