Worked better than I expected. We made the journey from South Florida to Tennessee's Smoky Mountains and had no trouble getting on or off this bag. But I did NOT use their straps, instead I used my ratchet straps because I've always trusted them, so I can't tell if their straps are good or not. We have side rails but no cross rails and have had no problems. I bought a non-slip mat to put on the roof of my car and I advise anyone who will be using it to get a non-slip mat as well. We filled it completely and had no problems. We were caught by rain and snow, everything stayed dry inside. The material appears to be tuff and I hope to find many more uses from it.
