We have a Sprinter based motorhome and I prefer to do the basic maintenance myself. I looked for something less expensive and tried a strap wrench, a cheaper box wrench set, a regular oil filter wrench and my bare hands. Due to the tightness around the oil filter, I couldn't use a handle wrench, and other box wrenches just didn't fit properly. I learned my lesson: buy the right tool the first time and it will be cheaper in the long run. This tool worked great and saved you the trouble of changing the Sprinter oil filter - this is on a 2008 V-6 diesel engine.
