I decided to try some of the "professional" materials instead of the usual cheap teflon tape. It's a bit more expensive than the cheap stuff, but not by much considering the extra length, width, and thickness. It requires less packaging to get a good print than cheap stuff. And 3/4" width is more natural than 1/2" width for joints. I also like that it doesn't thread into threads like white cloth. It annoys me a lot when Teflon tape does that, but this one seems less prone to it. I'm definitely a plumber but I think I'll keep buying this tape (although with 3 rolls it will be a long time before I need more) instead of the cheap stuff. It's less cumbersome and I feel like it's better quality (I never know if cheap white stuff is good or bad or something in between) and almost the same price.
