BIG concern. Emits a white, milky substance after washing, rinsing and drying

BIG concern. While I really like the case itself and it's perfect for a toothbrush and dental floss, after washing in hot water with dish soap and rinsing thoroughly and repeatedly, it forms a white, sticky milky substance as it tries to dry. -inside and outside. Is it a chemical that is released from the material after production and eventually washes out after a few cleanings? The material must be impermeable and the white substance does not foam, so that no cleaning agent leaks out. [It doesn't smell like soap either.] In any case, I would never put a toothbrush, dental floss, etc. in the suitcase without knowing what the white stuff is... I'm not taking any chances and inserting it into my body. It can be returned or turned into a pencil case. [In fact, it was originally a pencil case that someone wanted to "reuse"?] If you put it in the dishwasher and it dries, that chemical might still be there, it's just not visible. I'll try washing and rinsing it more to see what happens, but that's a big problem.
