Fiction. After inserting the batteries and turning on the receiver and transmitter both indicated that the first channel was set. Great so far. Turn on the camera to test the remote control function first in single-frame mode and then in high-speed mode. It worked as advertised. I then tested it from 30 feet away, still no problem. I then connected the remote directly to the camera and there were no problems. At the moment I haven't tested the advanced features. I am very satisfied with this product so far.
